Does anyone remember a cartoon in the 80's that featured a airplane that was a child?

I think that his name was Petey Plane. His parents names were John and Mary. Petey would get lost and they would go out flying to look for him and bring him back to the the Hangar. I think he wore a hat with a propeller. I cannot find anything on the internet about this.
