How do you get over giving away your best friend?

I would be absolutely de ashes if I had to give my dog, Raleigh, up. I think you just need to remind yourself that Petey is living with wonderful people and even though he'll miss you too, the situation will be better for him. Just remember why you decided to give up your best friend in the first place and that you were thinking about what would be best. Good luck!
