Can i use crayola magic marker (not permanent ) to draw on my dog for halloween,if not is there any safe way?

my dog looks like petey from the little rascals but i want to put a circle around his eye for halloween but idk what is safe to use..... if crayolla is safe for babys and they can even eat small amounts shouldnt it be safe for dogs as well
