Question about spurs?

If he uses the spurs to much and incorrectly The horse will more than likely come to ignore the spurs too. Before you use the spurs I'd suggest giving a hige squeeze , since you said he won't respond to that give him a tap on the butt with a crop, and that should be his last chance. Then you should use the spurs once but firmly. I did that with one of my horses and she does not have the problem anymore.
